POTATOFLO® is a live bacterial inoculation for use on tuber crops like potatoes, sweet potatoes and radish. POTATOFLO® has the ability to increase yield and quality of tuber crops regardless of different soil and climatic conditions.
The yield potential of potatoes:

The yield potential of potatoes is less than the potential. Researchers claim that the actual yield are less than half of the real yield potential. It is probably due to worldwide problems with fungi diseases that infects the conducting strands of potatoes. Research with Potatoflo® inoculants on potatoes shows that it can reduce diseases.
Multiple action of POTATOFLO®

- Potatoflo® bacteria live in the area of the plant roots and are sometimes found within the roots. Potatoflo® does not produce nodules on the roots. The yield increase associated with Potatoflo® can apparently be attributed to the development of a better root system, especially the fine root hairs. It improves the uptake of water and minerals, N, P, K, and micro-elements in the soil.
- Potatoflo® can fix biologically a small amount of nitrogen and solubilize nutrients like phosphate to make it more available to the plant roots.
- Potatoflo® controls diseases biologically to a certain extent. Worldwide research with similar inoculants shows that it may inhibit pathogenic fungi on potatoes and relative crops.
- Potatoflo® may improve the germination of seeds.
Advantages of POTATOFLO®

- Improved root systems - plants make better use of fertilizer and moisture.
- Yield increases of up to 30% and more
- Higher profits due to more large tubers with a better quality
Application of POTATOFLO®

- Potatoflo® is manufactured in a liquid base.
- Liquid inoculants are convenient to apply in the plant furrow with a Rhizo-applicator® just before the tubers are closed.
- Make sure that the correct dose is applied - DO NOT DEVIATE.
- Always plant in wet soil - a light irrigation or rain after planting improves the survival of the bacteria.
- Never leave Potatoflo® in direct sunlight.
- Keep Potatoflo® in a cool, dry and dark room away from other chemicals. Normal room temperatures are sufficient for storage.
Directions for use:

- Use 5 X 100 ml Potatoflo® per hectare.
- Dissolve the Potatoflo® in 100-200 litres of water per hectare.
- Apply the Potatoflo® with a Rhizo-applicator®, directly into the plant furrow and cover immediately thereafter.
Recommendations for use:

- Potatoflo® is used as a combination of 5 X 100 ml units per hectare.
- The liquid inoculant is convenient to apply directly into the plant furrow with the Rhizo-applicator® just before the tubers are closed.
- The Potatoflo® inoculant (5 X 100 ml) is diluted with water (20 to 200 litres/ha) and applied.
- A Rhizo-applicator® operates as a gravity-related feeder and is convenient to mount on the planter or even on plough. A small electrical or peristaltic pump can also be used. Be careful not to use a high pressure pump as it will damage the bacterial cells.
- Potatoflo® inoculant is a live inoculant and must be handled with care. Take care not to leave the inoculant in the sun during planting.
- The inoculant can be applied into the plant furrow if chemical fungicides and insecticides are used. Make sure that the chemicals are not mixed together with the inoculant in the applicator tank because direct contact with chemicals can kill of the live bacteria.
